We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Helper to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in various kitchen tasks, ensuring a smooth and efficient food preparation process. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen while supporting chefs and cooks in meal preparation and service.
Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation, including washing, chopping, and measuring ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces.
- Help with meal assembly and plating for catering events or daily service.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently under supervision.
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all times.
- Support chefs and cooks in executing menu items during peak service times.
- Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed.
Skills
- Experience in food service or culinary environments is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food handling practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
- Familiarity with basic kitchen tools, including knives and cooking equipment.
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others in the kitchen.
- Excellent organizational skills to maintain a tidy workspace.
