The Job in 3 Lines
- Weld, fabricate, and repair heavy railcars (thick steel, structural fixes, AAR/FRA compliance)
- Comfortable working overtime or weekends
- We want proven railcar repair experience—no ramp-up excuses, just clean, reliable work from day one
You're a strong match here if:
- You've crushed brutal stretches—6+ days straight, 10–12+ hour shifts, in freezing cold, scorching heat, or pouring rain—and still showed up early, stayed locked in, and delivered top-quality repairs without excuses or fading.
- You bring serious railcar mechanical/welding chops, deep familiarity with railcars, and pick up nuances quickly under pressure.
- In 2 years, you see yourself advancing: foreman, inspector or supervisor. You’ve got clear ambition and view this as the next step in your railcar career.
At Odyssey Railcar, we're a family-owned, fast-growing railcar services company dedicated to keeping America's 1.6 million railcars moving safely and reliably.
Our core values are how we operate day to day:

- Reliable transportation, steel-toe boots, strong work ethic, and zero tolerance for tardiness/sloppy work
