We are looking for a full-time Occupational Therapist to join our hand clinic: East Bay Hand Medical Center. This is an exciting opportunity for an OTR who is interested in a career in hand therapy to work with a Certified Hand Therapist with more than 25 years of experience, with the eventual goal of attaining CHT credentialing. Our therapy department is part of a larger Hand Center, and we work closely with our 3 hand surgeons to provide the care needs of our clients ranging from medical evaluation and management to surgical and therapeutic intervention. Our hand clinic treats a large variety of upper extremity problems including nerve compression, traumatic injuries, degenerative disease and postsurgical intervention.
Duties: OT evaluation and treatment, OT hand therapy and treatment, Patient management progressing toward therapeutic goals, reevaluation as needed, coordinating with hand surgeons and staff to optimize patient outcomes, splinting and creation of custom splints as needed.
You will have the opportunity to observe surgeries if desired. We have a very friendly and collaborative work environment, which provides opportunity for growth and advancement. Financial incentives in addition to salary could potentially be earned in the form of bonuses as the therapist achieves CHT accreditation, takes on increased responsibilities, and progresses toward eventual clinic management.
