Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Seed Quality Technician for a full-time, contract/temporary opportunity in Bapchule, AZ. This role supports quality assurance testing for cottonseed products in a production, warehouse, outdoor sampling, and laboratory environment.
This is a strong opportunity for candidates with experience or education in biology, laboratory sciences, agriculture, quality control, or related fields. The QA Seed Quality Technician will work with a supportive quality team, follow established testing procedures, and help ensure products meet quality, safety, and compliance standards. This position is well suited for someone who is organized, accurate, safety-minded, and interested in building hands-on laboratory and agricultural quality experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform quality assurance testing on fuzzy, processed, and carryover cottonseed products.
- Conduct quality control testing, including truck sampling, moisture and temperature analysis, FFA testing, genetic purity testing, seed counts, pH analysis, and visual inspections.
- Verify test results and accurately enter quality data into required systems.
- Follow SOPs, work instructions, safety procedures, and PPE requirements at all times.
- Operate laboratory and industrial equipment such as hydraulic presses, vacuum samplers, autoclaves, seed dryers, shakers, centrifuges, pipettes, moisture meters, and seed counters.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment while assisting the QA Supervisor with additional quality assurance duties.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $20.00 per hour.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
- Hours: 40 hours per week.
- Employment Type: Full-time, contract/temporary.
- Location: Bapchule, AZ 85121.
- Required PPE is provided, including safety glasses, lab coat, gloves, safety boots, hard hat, N95 mask, respirator, and Tyvek suit.
- Must be flexible to work extended hours during peak season in November and December, with occasional Saturdays as needed.
- Additional medical screening is required prior to employment.
