Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated ICC Certified Code Compliance Inspector to join our dynamic team dedicated to ensuring construction projects meet all relevant building codes and safety standards. In this pivotal role, you will conduct thorough inspections of construction sites, review blueprints and schematics, and verify compliance with the International Code Council (ICC) standards. Responsibilities
- Perform detailed inspections of construction sites to verify adherence to ICC codes, schematics, and blueprints.
- Conduct quality control and quality inspection assessments throughout various phases of construction projects.
- Analyze construction plans, schematics, and data collection reports to identify potential compliance issues.
- Review contracts and project documentation to ensure all work aligns with regulatory standards and client expectations.
- Document inspection findings accurately, prepare detailed reports, and communicate non-compliance issues clearly to project teams.
- Collaborate with construction management teams to resolve code violations promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain professionalism while working with owners, contractors, architects, engineers, and regulatory agencies.
- Represent the company in the field with strong attention to quality, safety, and customer service.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction inspection, quality control, or related roles within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of ICC codes, building regulations, and construction management practices.
- Hands-on experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to construction projects.
- Basic computer skills, including email, PDF review, report writing, and inspection software platforms.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to travel to project sites throughout the DC Metropolitan Region.

Preferred Qualifications
- ICC Commercial Building Inspector certification.
- ICC Residential or Commercial Combination Inspector certification.
- Additional ICC certifications in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, energy, fire, or accessibility are a plus.
- Experience with DC DOB, Tertius, third-party inspections, or regulatory code compliance inspections.
- Experience working with contractors, owners, architects, and engineers on active construction sites.
Pay: $65,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
