Responsibilities
- Monitor premises using CCTV surveillance systems and perform regular patrols to identify potential security risks or breaches.
- Control access points by performing thorough background checks, verifying identification, and managing entry using access control systems.
- Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies by executing established procedures such as fire safety protocols, first aid, CPR, AED operation, and emergency response procedures.
- Conduct thorough incident report writing to document any security concerns, disturbances, or violations accurately and comprehensively.
- Perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting when necessary for security equipment or incident management.
- Enforce security regulations with professionalism while managing conflicts through conflict management and de-escalation techniques.
- Assist with loss prevention efforts by monitoring for suspicious activity and implementing security measures to protect assets.
- Support law enforcement agencies during investigations or incidents by providing detailed reports and performing background checks when required.
- Maintain high standards of customer service by engaging politely with visitors, clients, and staff while ensuring a secure environment.
Experience
- Prior experience in physical security roles within upscale environments such as luxury retail, high-end hospitality, or corporate settings is preferred.
- Background in military service or law enforcement enhances the ability to handle complex security situations confidently.
- Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, Taser use, firearm handling, and conflict de-escalation is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with surveillance systems including CCTV monitoring and access control systems is essential.
- Proven ability to perform background checks and conduct thorough incident report writing is advantageous.
- Knowledge of compliance with security regulations and emergency response procedures ensures readiness for diverse scenarios.
- Strong interpersonal skills coupled with a professional demeanor are necessary for delivering excellent customer service while maintaining security standards.
