We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. We want someone who enjoys working as part of a team. Must have a collaborative mindset. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while serving high-quality beverages and food items. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. If you have a love for coffee and enjoy interacting with people and working within an organic environment this is the perfect opportunity for you. Recently we just added wine and beer to our menu.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to established recipes and standards.
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Operate cash registers efficiently, handling cash transactions with accuracy and ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment, utensils, and dining areas to meet food safety standards.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of supplies and notifying management when items need to be reordered.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours while maintaining high-quality service.
- Engage with customers to promote sales of beverages and food items, enhancing their overall experience.
Qualifications
Positive and friendly attitude.
- Previous experience in the food industry or customer service is preferred but not required.
- Strong math skills for handling cash transactions and making accurate change.
- Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations is an advantage.
- Ability to operate a cash register and handle cash accurately.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor towards customers and team members.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques is beneficial.
- A passion for coffee culture and eagerness to learn about different beverage options is highly valued.
- Over 21 years old.
