EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
What You'll Do:-
Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.

Repair and maintain pumps, valves, generators, air compressors, diesel and internal combustion engines, and other water treatment plant equipment.

Install, maintain, and repair chemical feed pumps and related systems.

Operate machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, and drill presses.

Work Environment
Work is primarily performed in a water treatment facility and involves frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts. Duties may occasionally require working at heights, outdoors in varying weather conditions, or in confined spaces with exposure to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals; and the risk of electrical shock. Work may also involve the use of vibrating tools. Protective equipment such as Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus, respirators, masks, goggles, and gloves may be required. The noise level is typically loud (e.g. heavy traffic, large earth moving equipment).
