Job Location: Synergetics collaborates with clients across various locations. Travel to client site will be need based on the project and the client’s requirements. Convenient access within one hour from an international airport is needed. Travel varies by client and is estimated at 50%
This is an organizational effectiveness (OE) and Organizational Design (OD) consulting role focused on org design, spans and layers analysis, workforce planning, and operating model optimization. The successful candidate will embed directly with client organizations — analyzing their current-state structure, identifying inefficiencies, and leading the implementation of sustainable organizational changes that improve performance and reduce cost.
Desired candidates will have management consulting experience and a proven track record in organizational design analysis and transformation. You will perform detailed evaluations encompassing census data, current organizational design, spans and layers, value-added service drivers, P&L and cost center review, location and geographic strategy, and productivity and utilization analysis — then turn those findings into implementable recommendations.
Outcomes include: streamlined organizations, accelerated communication and decision-making, reduced labor costs, implement foundational structure including: job titles, career path, key metrics and processes to govern organizational scale, increased productivity and utilization, and greater accountability — all contributing to improved client profitability.

Conduct organizational assessments to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements across structure, process, and operating model design

Develop Span of Control (SoC) models to analyze spans and layers; benchmark by function and department; set targets for improvement

Identify SoC variance, quantify financial improvement opportunities, and surface compensation outliers by level and layer

Identify rightshoring opportunities and quantify the financial benefit

Design potential organizational changes and assess their impact on internal and external client experience

Develop accountability frameworks to support new organizational structures and service level agreements

Review staffing models, how the organization scales, and develop a framework to manage organizational size and efficiency going forward

Understand key process areas, maturity, systems, and overall efficiency in order to inform key process improvements that can improve organizational efficiency

Engage with client stakeholders to understand currentstate operations and build credibilitybased relationships

Gather and analyze data, conduct client interviews, and visit facilities to observe operations firsthand

Develop performance metrics and construct reports that effectively represent current state and target future state

Communicate with employees at all levels to ensure understanding and buyin for new organizational design and workforce planning initiatives

Monitor and evaluate the impact of organizational changes to ensure alignment with business goals

Stay current on industry best practices and trends in organizational effectiveness, OD consulting, and workforce planning

Create reports and presentations that communicate findings clearly to client leadership; present "the story"

Collaborate with clients to define requirements for tools, systems, and processes; recommend design improvements; provide implementation oversight

Work in a handson mode until futurestate procedural workstreams are in place, evaluated, and fully functioning

Manage multiple concurrent workstreams with high urgency; create and maintain workplans to prioritize effectively

Experience in management consulting, professional services, or industry with demonstrated expertise in organizational design, organizational effectiveness, spans and layers analysis, and change management

Proven critical thinking skills in data collection and complex analysis — ability to identify data gaps, develop sound conclusions, and create implementable, sustainable recommendations

Project management experience, including leading consulting teams and experience managing Csuite client stakeholders directly

Proficiency across Microsoft Office — particularly Excel (data analysis, statistical review, modeling) and Power BI

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to tell a compelling story and present confidently in clientfacing settings

Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fastpaced environments across multiple client engagements

Bachelor's degree required
