About the Position
We are seeking a compassionate and collaborative neuropsychologist to provide inpatient neuropsychological services at multiple rehabilitation hospitals throughout the greater Atlanta area. This role offers a flexible schedule and the opportunity to work closely with interdisciplinary rehabilitation teams caring for patients recovering from complex neurologic and medical conditions.
Our patient population includes individuals recovering from stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, medically complex illnesses, orthopedic injuries, and other rehabilitation-related diagnoses requiring cognitive and behavioral assessment and support.
Responsibilities
- Conduct neuropsychological and cognitive evaluations in inpatient rehabilitation settings
- Assess cognition, mood, behavior, adjustment, and functional capacity
- Provide recommendations to support rehabilitation progress and discharge planning
- Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning with physicians, therapists, nursing staff, and case management teams
- Assist with behavioral management strategies and patient/family education
- Provide follow-up evaluations and supportive counseling as needed

- New patient neuropsychological consultations
- Follow-up cognitive and behavioral assessments
- Mood and adjustment evaluations
- Treatment recommendations and care coordination
- Documentation and communication with rehabilitation teams
Schedule
- Part-time position
- Approximately 4–5 hours per day
- Flexible weekday scheduling
- Opportunity to complete patient rounds/evaluations in the morning and maintain excellent work-life balance
- Patient volume varies based on facility census
Compensation
- Competitive per-patient compensation structure
- No bonus structure
- 1099 independent contractor position
- No benefits provided
Requirements
- PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology or Neuropsychology
- Completion of Neuropsychology fellowship/training
- Licensed or license-eligible psychologist in Georgia
- One year of rehabilitation, inpatient, or neuropsychology experience preferred
- Strong interdisciplinary communication skills
Training
- Two-week onboarding and training period provided

USA Rehab Services provides rehabilitation-focused specialty services to inpatient rehabilitation hospitals and healthcare facilities across the greater Atlanta area. Our teams care for patients recovering from stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injuries, orthopedic conditions, and medically complex illnesses with the goal of improving cognitive, emotional, and functional outcomes through coordinated interdisciplinary care.
Pay: $500.00 - $1,200.00 per day
