Challenge Island-Greater Phoenix is Hiring! We are looking for energetic instructors to guide students in exciting hands-on, project-based S.T.R.E.A.M. based activities and challenges. After School Classes are held After School which ranges from 12noon- 4pm. Onsite Field Trips are held during school hours. Seasonal camps are based on school breaks and summer dates with hours anytime between 8am-4pm.

Challenge Island is hiring fun, smart, enthusiastic instructors to teach an exciting After School S.T.R.E.A.M. enrichment program with a distinct island flair!

- This position is perfect for teachers, college or graduate students, retired teachers and stay-at-home moms and dads seeking to supplement with a part-time income. Teaching experience IS highly recommended, but training is available and included.
- Challenge Island will train qualified instructors in our unique program and teaching philosophy. All supplies and lesson plans are provided. The materials are comprehensive, fun, and exciting. Classes are held at local elementary schools in the Greater Phoenix Area......and surrounding school districts.
- Challenge Island teaching positions are highly selective positions and when you become a part of our amazing team.....the rewards are enormous!
- This is a part-time position - 2 to 15 hours per week. Candidates must be available from 2 - 4 p.m. for regular school release times and 12-2pm for early release times .....at least 2 days per week. Compensation ranges from $25 to $55 per classes offered depending upon class, location and size.
Requirements:
- Must be passionate about educating children and have some experience teaching pre-school or elementary age children.
- Reliable with own transportation.
- Physically able to keep up with energetic children.
- Positive attitude, Motivated to work and Assertive personality
- Common sense, Calm under pressure, Good sense of humor & Organized.
- Most important… LOVE CHILDREN!
- Must complete Criminal Background Check and have or get fingerprint card
License:
- CPR/First Aid (Preferred)
- Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card (Required)
