Job Title: Banquet Houseman

Summary:
The Banquet Houseman is responsible for meeting and exceeding the expectations of all guests. The Banquet Houseman is responsible primarily for the set-up, and clean-up of all banquet functions as well as maintaining the cleanliness of common areas and bathrooms during events. This is a fast-paced position that will involve customer interaction. The Banquet Houseman must be able to work all shifts and flexible schedules including weekends and holidays.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this role successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Maintains cleanliness of banquet rooms, hallways, storage and service areas.
- Ability to follow directions from banquet event orders and room diagrams.
- Must be able to work a flexible shift of mornings or evenings along with weekends and holidays.
- Assist Banquet Staff when needed.
- Responsible for setting up, maintaining and breaking down banquet rooms. This includes, but is not limited to moving tables & chairs, polishing silverware, setting tables with plates & glassware, setting up & breaking down portable dance floor.
- Responds quickly to requests from guests & management in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
- Maintains supplies neat and organized to department standards.
- Maintains security of equipment, keys and supplies issued each day.
- Reports missing articles, damage or mechanical problems, restaurant/lounge area and equipment.
- Follows company policies and procedures.
- Attends scheduled mandatory staff meetings.
Physical demands and abilities:
- Frequently walking with some standing at times, possibly extended distances; ability to bend and climb stairs when necessary
- Frequently lift/carry up to 45 lbs.
- Occasionally lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to reach with hands and arms in any direction and kneel and stoop repeatedly
Benefits: NJ Sick- 40 hours. Can utilize after the waiting period, 120 days after employment begins.
Pay: $15.92 per hour
