Responsibilities
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid replacements
- Oil changes: Drain engine oil from the crankcase and refill with the correct type and viscosity as specified by the manufacturer Jooble+1.
- Fluid checks & top-offs: Inspect and replenish levels of steering gear, power steering, transmission, brake, and windshield washer fluids Jooble+1.
- Tire services: Replace and Balance, rotate, and set correct tire pressure; check for wear and damage Jooble+1.
- Inspect and replace brakes components.
- Basic inspections: Perform multi-point inspections (belts, hoses, lights, wipers) and document findings to order parts and replace worn components.
- Lubrication: Apply specified lubricants to moving parts.
- Change bulbs that are non-operational.
- Replace some body parts such as side mirrors, bumpers, taillight housing or headlight housing.
- Parts coordination: Communicate with the parts department to obtain necessary components.
- Documentation: Record work performed on repair orders and maintain customer service records Jooble.
- Shop maintenance: Keep the work area clean and organized daily.
- Compliance: Follow safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA, hazardous waste disposal) Jooble.
- Repair or replace vehicle parts using hand tools and power tools efficiently and safely
- Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer specifications and safety standards while maintaining high-quality workmanshipQualifications
- minimum 2 years' experience in auto repairs
- Proven dealership or service shop experience as an Automotive Technician or Service Technician
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair and maintenance
- Familiarity with automotive schematics, diagnostics software, and electrical systems
- Experience working on GM vehicles or similar makes is a plus
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive service equipment
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics accurately
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ASE certifications are preferred

Pay: $17.50 - $21.00 per hour
