Manufacturing Supervisor Schedule: Monday - Thursday (40 Hours/Week)
Job Summary: Directs and coordinates activities of production personnel department(s) in processing materials or manufacturing products in industrial organization by performing the following duties or through subordinate supervisors and coordinators.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Establishes work plan and staffing levels to meet the ever-changing business climate.
- Supports a safe workplace environment by identifying and aiding to resolve unsafe practices.
- Ensure staffing is thoroughly trained in the operations they are performing.
- Continues to support and build upon a “Safety Comes First, Then Quality” attitude within their departments.
- Supports 5S, Clean, Safe working environment, and audits for success.
- Grows Production Supervisors and Coordinators in Leadership activities and builds a communication path that is open and honest thru coaching, mentoring, or training.
- Builds open communications with all assigned employees, and acts to resolve issues, or brings forward to Manufacturing Manager.
- Ensures that company policies are practiced, and guidelines are applied in aspects of this position.
- Identifies areas where cost, quality, reduced lead-times can be reduced to aid in machine utilization, lower scrap, labor efficiencies, etc.
- Plays an active role in NCR, CAR, Lean and Safety programs to aid the betterment of the plant.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience: Associate degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school, and 4 – 6 years of direct supervisory experience with some within a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- To write routine reports and correspondence.
- To speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- To apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- To interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Manufacturing software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
