People Centered Support Services is looking for a compassionate, dependable Direct Support Worker to join our team. We provide person‑centered support to adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities in the Ruston area. Position Overview
The Direct Support Worker (DSW) provides daily support, supervision, and assistance to individuals receiving waiver services. This includes helping with community outings, daily living skills, personal goals, and maintaining a safe, positive environment.
Schedule
- Monday, Wednesday, Friday
- 10hours per week
- flexible Schedule
- Monday and Wednesday = 10am-1:30pm
- Friday = 10am - 1pm
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support and supervision to clients
- Assist with daily living skills and personal goals
- Transport clients safely to community activities
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow agency guidelines
- Promote independence, dignity, and inclusion
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and supervisors
Requirements
These are REQUIRED to be considered:
- Valid driver’s license
- Current vehicle insurance
- Reliable transportation
- Clean background check
- Must be 18+
- Ability to pass required trainings (we provide them)
