Job Overview
MSC Floors is an industrial coatings company serving commercial and industrial clients across the Midwest. We're hiring a full-time Scheduler to be the central point of contact between our installation crews, shop personnel, and customers — keeping jobs moving on time, on budget, and communicated clearly to everyone involved.
This role sits at the hub of daily operations. You'll coordinate crew assignments across our East and West divisions, manage the flow of information between the field and the shop, and make sure customers always know where their project stands.
Duties
- Schedule and dispatch installation crews based on job requirements, crew skill sets, and project timelines
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding scheduling, project status, and timeline changes
- Coordinate daily with installers in the field to confirm job progress, flag delays, and adjust schedules in real time
- Communicate with shop personnel to ensure materials, equipment, and prep work are staged and ready ahead of scheduled jobs
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date scheduling records and job status in Insightly (CRM) and Contractor Foreman.
- Flag scheduling conflicts, substrate/prep concerns, or resource shortages before they become job-site problems.
- Resolve day-to-day issues raised by customers, installers, or shop staff — escalating to Ops leadership when needed.
- Support punch-list and warranty work scheduling as needed.
- All other job duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 1–3+ years of experience in scheduling, dispatching, or coordination — construction, flooring, coatings, or similar trade/service industry strongly preferred
- Strong organizational skills and comfort managing multiple moving jobs at once
- Excellent phone and written communication skills; calm and clear under pressure.
- Customer-first attitude paired with the ability to hold installers and shop staff accountable to the schedule.
- Proficiency with scheduling/CRM software and Microsoft Office; experience with Insightly or Contractor Foreman a plus.
- Working knowledge of coatings, flooring, or general construction terminology highly preferred but not required — willing to train the right person.
- High school diploma or equivalent required, Associate degree preferred.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
