Responsibilities
- Prepare pizza dough, sauces, toppings, and other ingredients following established recipes and menu specifications
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and slicing tools safely and efficiently
- Assemble pizzas with precision, ensuring proper ingredient distribution and presentation
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety protocols, including sanitizing surfaces and handling ingredients properly
- Monitor cooking times and oven temperatures to ensure perfect baking results every time
- Assist with menu planning by suggesting new toppings or specialty pizzas based on customer preferences and seasonal ingredients
- Support high-volume production during peak hours while maintaining quality standards and cleanliness
Experience
- Previous food industry experience with a focus on food preparation or kitchen operations is highly preferred
- Experience working in a restaurant or catering environment demonstrating ability to handle fast-paced service
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures in a commercial kitchen setting
- Culinary experience involving pizza making, grilling, braising, poaching or other cooking techniques is advantageous
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with operating various kitchen equipment are essential
- Background in dietary department work or dietary aide experience can be beneficial for understanding special dietary needs
- Proven ability to follow recipes accurately while maintaining high standards of food handling and presentation
