Lot Porter Responsibilities/What you’ll do:
- Move machines between the dealership’s display area, workshop, storage facility, and the pick-up point.
- Deliver and pick up machines.
- Assist customers loading and unloading machines.
- Roll machines in and out at dealership opening and closing.
- Pull keys and put keys in machines for the start/end of day.
- Wash and detail machines.
- Ensure vehicles’ readiness for sale.
- Ensure the back lot is always organized.
- Move sold machines to maximize use of space and keep the lot in order.
- Maintain front and back lot appearance by cleaning driveways and sidewalks, removing snow, mud, and debris as necessary.
- Manage weeds on property.
- Inspect inventory for damage upon delivery.
- Clean the shop: sweeping, picking up trash, taking out trash.
- Ensure the showroom is clean and showroom machines are clean.
- Attend all staff meetings, trainings, and educational classes as required.
- Follow all safety and security procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Lot Porter Requirements/What we are looking for:
- Forklift experience
- Experience pulling different types and sizes of trailers
- Powersports background or dealership experience a plus.
- Valid and clean driver’s license
- Able to work outside in all climates and conditions.
- Working knowledge of basic machine maintenance would be advantageous.
- Safely maneuver vehicles in tight and small spaces
- Ability to assume responsibility for the valuable property of customers and the dealership.
- Willingness to learn and to perform a wide range of allocated tasks.
- Shows up to work on time and ready to accomplish the day’s tasks.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic computer and internet skills
- Team player; able to communicate successfully with all types of personalities.
- Must be able to work Tuesday through Saturday.
Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
