Experience is greatly preferred, but we are willing to train the right, motivated individual if a long-term professional relationship is promising.
We offer a $800 per month health stipend after a 90-day initiation period and a 4% 401k match after 1 year.
Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, supplies, and sterilized equipment, following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
- Assist dentist during various procedures such as restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
- Take dental radiographs (X-ray)
- Manage patient records accurately using electronic medical record (EMR) Dentrix, including updating medical history and documenting treatment details.
- Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, taking vital signs, and addressing questions related to dental terminology or treatment plans..
- Operate advanced dental technology including 3D scanners to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
Qualifications
- Experience working in a dental clinic environment with familiarity in general dentistry procedures.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dental care.
- Ability to operate X-ray machines safely while adhering to radiation safety guidelines.
- Strong understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques within a clinical setting.
- Experience with chairside assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry for efficiency during procedures.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, including pediatrics.
