Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Sanitation Worker to join our team and ensure a clean, safe, and compliant environment across our facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in food production, manufacturing, or warehouse settings. Your efforts will directly contribute to food safety, regulatory compliance, and the overall efficiency of operations. Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of work areas, equipment, and machinery using appropriate cleaning agents and industrial cleaning techniques
- Handle chemical agents safely, following all chemical handling safety procedures and using personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, masks, and goggles
- Maintain sanitation standards in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety regulations
- Conduct routine inspections to identify areas needing cleaning or maintenance and document all sanitation activities accurately
- Use respiratory protection devices when required during chemical handling or cleaning processes
- Assist with waste disposal, ensuring proper segregation and disposal of hazardous materials in compliance with safety protocols
- Support the sanitation team in maintaining a safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and reporting hazards promptly
- Will need to be able to do some outside yard work around the facility on occasion.
Requirements
- Janitorial, custodial, or industrial cleaning experience preferred; experience in food production or manufacturing is a plus
- Knowledge of chemical handling safety procedures and proper use of PPE and respiratory protection equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks throughout the shift
- Basic math skills for measuring chemicals and maintaining accurate records
- Familiarity with GMP standards, sanitation procedures, and food safety regulations
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately

Pay: $12.50 - $13.00 per hour
