Route 60 Hyundai is seeking a dynamic, customer-centric Service Advisor to join our fast-growing Service Department. As a family-owned dealership, we pride ourselves on providing an exceptional experience from the moment a customer arrives — and our Service Advisors are the heart of that mission.
Position Overview
The Service Advisor acts as the primary liaison between customers and our service technicians. You will greet customers, understand their vehicle concerns, recommend appropriate services, and ensure every guest leaves feeling confident, informed, and cared for. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers and provide a warm, professional first impression
- Listen to customer concerns and accurately document repair orders
- Clearly explain maintenance recommendations, repair needs, and service timelines
- Communicate effectively between the customer and technician team
- Maintain active status updates on all vehicles in progress
- Review completed work with customers and ensure satisfaction
- Handle payments, warranty claims, and Hyundai-specific service processes
- Follow dealership policies, Hyundai standards, and safety protocols
- Build trust-based relationships that encourage customer retention
- Contribute to the smooth daily flow of the service lane
Qualifications
- Prior automotive service advisor experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask in a high-volume environment
- Proficiency with computers; CDK/Tech software experience a plus
- Positive attitude, professionalism, and reliability
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
