American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cardiovascular OR Surgical Tech (CVOR) for a travel assignment in Ohio, requiring 5+ years of CST experience and proficiency in cardiac and vascular procedures including CABG and valve replacement.

Work setting is a cardiovascular-focused hospital OR environment

Assignment is in the CVOR unit with a focus on cardiac and vascular surgical cases
-
Procedures include CABG, EVAR, TEVAR, valve replacement, and other cardiovascular/thoracic surgeries
-
Shift schedule is evenings with a mix of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts (2x8 and 2x12), with shifts falling within the 0630–2300 window
-
Call is required as part of this assignment

Weekend rotation is required

Must be flexible with scheduling

EMR system is Epic
-
Active OH or Compact RN license required — note: this is a CST (Certified Surgical Tech) role; an active CST certification is required

Current BLS certification required

Minimum 5 years of total CST experience required

Minimum 2 years of cardiac and vascular experience required

Minimum 1 year of CVOR-specific experience required

Minimum 1 year of experience in a Level I Trauma facility required

Experience with cardiovascular/thoracic instrument reprocessing required
-
Proficiency in scrub technique, aseptic technique, and the ability to scrub and circulate required

Experience with CVOR procedures: CABG, EVAR, TEVAR, valve replacement, and related cardiovascular/thoracic cases

Skills in general OR, thoracic, and vascular settings required

Experience with crash cart and equipment documentation required

2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a Manager, Director, or Supervisor; a Charge RN is acceptable for the 2nd reference; no coworker references accepted
