The Senior Center Operator 1 position with the Armstrong County Area Agency on Aging offers an exciting chance to support older adults in your community. This part-time role focuses on coordinating meals and organizing activities that support seniors at agency community centers. You will help manage daily operations and ensure programs run smoothly. As a Senior Center Operator 1, you will perform the following duties:

Record Management: Maintain accurate records and update documentation as needed

Activity Coordination: Organize social events and oversee meal service for seniors

Financial Handling: Collect and deposit monetary contributions

Food Monitoring: Track meal quality and quantity

Meal Preparation: Prepare and package meals for delivery

Custodial Tasks: Carry out light cleaning duties such as mopping spills and disinfecting areas
Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Part-time employment

Work hours are 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday - Thursday, and 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM on Friday

Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Three months of experience in providing direct services in a human services, education or a community based setting to the aging population or to individuals from various cultures and socio-economic backgrounds or to individuals who have physical, intellectual or emotional disabilities; or

Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Armstrong County. If no eligible candidates who live within Armstrong County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
