You will play a vital role in supporting veterinary professionals, ensuring animals receive the highest quality care, and helping clients feel confident and informed about their pets’ health and appearance.
Duties
- Assist the veterinarian and technicians with animal handling, restraint, and basic medical procedures to ensure safe and stress-free examinations.
- Help assist grooming staff with bathing, nail trims, ear cleanings and introductory grooming techniques.
- Perform animal husbandry tasks such as feeding, bathing, grooming, and monitoring daily health status to promote optimal well-being.
- Kennel assistant type duties include walking dogs, feeding, and all types of cleaning to maintain fresh facilities as all times.
- Handle pet care responsibilities including dog handling, pet restraint during procedures, and ensuring animals are comfortable throughout their visit.
- Maintain detailed records of treatments, medications administered, and grooming services provided in accordance with clinic standards.
- Support front desk operations by scheduling appointments, managing client communications, and providing excellent customer service to pet owners.
Experience
- Prior experience working at a grooming facility grooming or performing baths and nail trims.
- Veterinary assistant experience or veterinary clinic experience that includes animal handling, restraint techniques, medication administration, and familiarity with veterinary terminology.
- Must be available to work Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, and 1 (2-4 hour shift) on the weekend
- Must be able to demonstrate a commitment to punctuality, professionalism, dependability.
Pay: $12.00 - $18.00 per hour
