American Traveler is hiring a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) for a pediatric sleep study unit, requiring a minimum of 2 years of pediatric and/or NICU sleep study experience and RPSGT certification.

Pediatric sleep study unit in an acute care setting with 2 pediatric beds

Performs diagnostic polysomnography, titration studies, multiple sleep latency tests (MSLT), and maintenance of wakefulness tests (MWT)

Records and provides accurate data to physicians for diagnostic use in treating patients with sleep/wake disorders

Utilizes Natus software for sleep studies and Epic EMR for charting

12-hour night shifts, Monday through Friday — no weekends and no call required

13-week contract, 36 hours per week

Minimum of 2 years of pediatric and/or NICU sleep study experience

RPSGT certification via the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT); registration through the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) will also be considered

Current BLS certification (AHA)

Active ND state license or willingness to obtain prior to start date — license required if applicable

Two professional references required: one from a supervisor within the last 12 months of relevant experience, and one from a peer or supervisor within the last 3 years in the specialty

While the technologist may be the only pediatric sleep tech on shift, adult sleep techs will be scheduled concurrently so the candidate is never alone in the building

Orientation consists of 8 hours and includes on-the-job training with the facility's sleep team

Candidates with a permanent address within 80 miles of the facility are eligible to apply; however, a reduced pay rate may apply
