American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position at a Level I/II Trauma facility, requiring at least 2 years of OR experience and proficiency across multiple surgical specialties on a rotating night schedule.

General OR setting at a Level I/II Trauma hospital
-
Rotating schedule: Wednesday–Friday (Week 1) and Thursday–Saturday (Week 2)
-
Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
-
1:1 patient ratio
-
Surgical specialties include General, Neuro, Vascular, Ortho, GYN, and ENT
-
Standard surgical equipment and Da Vinci Xi Surgical System used on unit
-
Charting via Epic EMR
-
Floating within scope of practice may be required as needed
-
13-week contract
-
Active Michigan (MI) RN license required prior to start
-
Current certifications: BLS required; ACLS preferred
-
Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required
-
Level II Trauma experience required; Level I Trauma experience preferred

Proficiency across multiple surgical specialties: General, Neuro, Vascular, Ortho, GYN, and ENT

Knowledge of standard surgical equipment required

Da Vinci Xi Surgical System (Robotics) experience preferred

CNOR certification not required
-
Travel experience not required — first-time travelers are welcome to apply

Local candidates are accepted; local is defined as living within a 75-mile radius of the facility

Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler

Travel pairs are accepted

RTO of 5 days or fewer is preferred and must be disclosed at time of consideration

Block scheduling is not available for this position

Orientation modules are completed onsite annually via HealthStream
