Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for preparing food, assisting with meal assembly, and supporting the kitchen’s overall food production and flow. This position is in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assist with food prep to ensure timely service
- Cook and assemble dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety protocols
- Support menu planning by preparing ingredients for upcoming service periods
- Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, handling, and portioning
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy hours
- Assist in private events or special functions as needed
Requirements
- Prior experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role
- Proven background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation practices
- Experience with menu planning, food service, and catering i
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as required
