Position Purpose: The Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LSCW) for the SPARK program provides mental health services, care coordination, and family support to children, adolescents, and their families in an outpatient pediatric clinic setting. This role focuses on early intervention and management of emotional, behavioral, and developmental concerns to support overall health and well-being.
- Conduct age-appropriate direct clinical services to clients (0-18 years), which include intake, assessment, and treatment planning, for an array of services.
- Provide individual and family therapy using developmentally appropriate , evidence-based approaches (e.g., play therapy, CBT, trauma-informed care)
- Documents all interactions and services provided in the client's case file and manages files according to regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with pediatricians, psychiatrists, and support staff to develop and implement integrated treatment plans.
- Educate and support families in navigating behavioral health services, special education resources, and community support.
- Provide crisis intervention and risk assessments for concerns such as suicidal ideation, abuse/neglect, or acute behavioral issues.
- Advocate for children’s needs in school, social service, and medical systems.
- Maintain timely, accurate, and confidential documentation in the electronic health record.
- Provides off-site educational workshops and services, community outreach, establishes and facilitates support/therapeutic groups in the community.
- Maintains a professional knowledge base through literature review, seminars, workshops, meetings and in-service throughout the calendar year. Participates in professional association activities and obtains Continuing Education hours as necessary to maintain clinical licensure.
- Performs other activities as needed as the program evolves.
Attend meetings as requested by the management team.
The SPARK (Supportive Psychiatry and Resilience for Kids) program operates from Saint Anthony's Archer Clinic, which houses primary care, family medicine and other services. Patients who visit the clinic can easily be referred to a SPARK therapist. SPARK offers in-person and virtual appointments and accepts Medicaid. Sixty percent of Saint Anthony's patient base relies on Medicaid.

- Performs both essential and marginal job functions in a safe manner as identified by Saint Anthony Hospital and the respective department while adhering to the Hospital’s confidentiality norms and standards. - Assumes responsibility for knowing and maintaining established hospital and departmental objectives, policies/procedures including mission, vision, and values as well as patient satisfaction levels and mechanisms to achieve the goals.
- Demonstrates competence in communicating and collaborating effectively with staff and health care providers.

- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of Illinois required.
- Minimum of one-year experience providing clinical services to a pediatric population.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred, but not required
- Ability to work well both independently and as a team member.
- Ability to work quarterly marketing events (May be held on a Saturday or Sunday)
