Duties
- Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development, literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods to support holistic child growth.
- Lead daily classroom activities, ensuring a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management strategies, promoting positive social interactions and emotional well-being.
- Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, milestones, and any special education or early intervention needs in accordance with mandated reporting laws.
- Support children with diverse needs by integrating special education techniques and early intervention practices into daily instruction.
- Maintain accurate records of child development progress, standardized testing results, and lesson plans to ensure compliance with licensing standards and educational best practices.
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and childcare staff to uphold high standards of classroom management and childcare quality.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in preschool settings or daycare environments, including classroom management and lesson planning.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education standards, and Montessori methods.
- Experience with special education strategies, early intervention programs, and behavior management techniques.
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, families, staff, and community partners.
- Demonstrated ability to develop curriculum content across subjects such as literacy education, math, physical education, and toddler care.
- Prior teaching experience with young children in private schools or daycare centers is highly desirable.
