We're growing our presence in the communities we serve and are looking for a Community Engagement Specialist to help us build stronger relationships with clients, caregivers, referral partners, and the broader community.
Position Overview
The Community Engagement Specialist is the face of Ideal Home Help in the community. This person builds and maintains relationships with referral sources (hospitals, senior centers, social workers, physicians, faith communities, etc.), represents the agency at local events, supports caregiver and client recruitment efforts, and helps raise awareness of our services throughout Michigan. This is a relationship-driven, outward-facing role well suited to someone who is personable, organized, and passionate about connecting people with the care and resources they need.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with referral partners, including hospitals, discharge planners, senior living communities, social workers, faith-based organizations, and community groups
- Represent Ideal Home Help at health fairs, community events, senior expos, and local networking functions
- Plan and coordinate outreach events and educational sessions for families, caregivers, and community organizations
- Support recruitment efforts by promoting caregiver job opportunities within the community
- Track and report on engagement activities, referral sources, and outreach outcomes
- Serve as a point of contact for community inquiries about services, eligibility, and how to get started
- Collaborate with leadership and marketing to develop outreach materials, social media content, and local partnerships
- Identify new opportunities for community partnerships and visibility across the agency's Michigan service areas
- Maintain accurate records of contacts, meetings, and referral activity in the agency's CRM or tracking system
- Travel locally/regionally within Michigan to attend meetings and events as needed
Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Bilingual or multilingual preferred
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple relationships and priorities
- Comfortable with public speaking and representing an organization at community events
- Valid Michigan driver's license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel locally within assigned service areas

- Job Type: Full-Time
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
