Supplemental Health Care is partnering with a school district in Bothell, WA seeking a dedicated and flexible Registered Nurse (RN) to give one-on-one support health services to a Medically Complex Student.
This unique opportunity involves providing individualized nursing support to the student in both the school setting and community-based activities. The ideal candidate is confident working independently, enjoys building meaningful relationships with students, and has recent experience working with teenagers.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one nursing care for a student with diabetes
- Monitor and manage the student's health needs throughout the school day
- Support participation in classroom, school, and community activities
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers
- Respond to health concerns and emergencies as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow all district protocols
Additional Details
- Pay: $48 to $51 an hour
- Schedule: 3 Days per week | Day shift (approximately 7 hours per day; start and end times vary based on student needs)
- Contract Dates: September 1, 2026 through June 16, 2027
- Student Details: 3-Year-old who is in a wheelchair and has hearing loss
Qualifications
- Required: Active California School Nurse Credential (fully credentialed)
- Required: Recent experience working with teenagers within the past 12 months
- OPSI Fingerprint Clearance (or ability to obtain)
- School-based nursing experience preferred
- Strong communication, assessment, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently in both school and community settings
- Strong communication and organizational skills
