Seasonal Christmas Lighting Employment
Lights Up is approaching its 11th season, and we are looking for energetic, positive, respectful, and hardworking individuals to join our team. We take pride in providing high-quality holiday lighting installations for residential and commercial clients, and we’re seeking team members who will represent our company professionally.
Season Schedule
Our season begins on August 24th.
Work schedules typically average 8–10 hour days, Monday through Friday.
Overtime is available weekly throughout the season.
During the month of November, as we work to meet installation deadlines, overtime opportunities are unlimited.
Start times are 8:00 AM during September and October and transition to 7:30 AM as daylight savings time approaches.
Employees are paid from the time they leave the shop until company vehicles return and are unloaded and prepared for the following day.
Attendance and punctuality are extremely important. Employees are expected to arrive on time and communicate appropriately regarding any absences. Failure to maintain reliable attendance may result in termination of employment.
Seasonal Timeline
August 24th through early December: Installation of residential and commercial holiday lighting displays.
Mid-December: Approximately a two to three-week seasonal break.
January 3rd through late February or early March: Removal of holiday lighting displays.
Please note that installation and removal schedules are weather-dependent and may be subject to change.

Hourly Pay
Ground Crew Members: $14.00 – $18.00 per hour
Roof & Ladder Installers: $20.00 – $23.00 per hour
Foreman/Crew Leaders: $27.00 – $35.00 per hour
Additional bonus pay and performance incentives are available.
General Responsibilities
Report to the shop each day to load company vehicles and review the daily schedule.
Utilize company-issued iPads for lighting layouts, production reports, and project documentation.
Safely carry, maneuver, and climb ladders ranging from 4 to 40 feet (ground crew members will have ladder restrictions based on position).
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
Follow directions accurately and maintain detailed notes when requested.
Perform installations and removals efficiently while maintaining a professional appearance and attitude.
Qualifications
Applicants must:
Be professional, courteous, and respectful of clients and their properties.
Follow all safety procedures at all times.
Be comfortable working at heights (for applicable positions).
Possess a valid driver’s license.
Be at least 18 years of age.
Have reliable transportation.
Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Be flexible with scheduling demands during the busiest weeks of the season.
Successfully pass a background check prior to employment.
