Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Associate Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will support classroom activities, foster a nurturing environment, and contribute to the development of young learners. Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and implementing age-appropriate curriculum and lesson plans aligned with educational standards.
- Support classroom management by maintaining a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for children.
- Provide direct care and supervision for children, including toddler care and preschool activities.
- Facilitate literacy education, math activities, physical education, and other developmental programs tailored to various age groups.
- Manage behavior using positive reinforcement techniques and behavior management strategies.
- Collaborate with lead teachers and staff to monitor student progress through assessments and standardized testing when applicable.
- Support early intervention initiatives and special education needs as required.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and classroom activities.
- Assist with classroom organization, material preparation, and maintaining cleanliness standards in accordance with childcare regulations.
- Changing Diapers and following all sanitation procedures.
- Writing anecdotal notes and assisting in the DRDP process.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies.
- Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, tutoring, or teaching physical education is advantageous.
- Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention programs, literacy education, and Montessori methods is a plus.
- Strong communication skills necessary for engaging with children, parents, and colleagues effectively.

- Associate Teacher permit or high from the Commission on Teacher Credentialing.

Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour
