American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with CA license and CT experience for an Oncology Center's Radiation Oncology department.

Work in an Oncology Center's Medical Oncology and Radiation Oncology department
-
Day shift schedule, 5x8 hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
-
Daily caseload of 25 patients per therapist
-
No floating required between units
-
No on-call requirements
-
Uses Varian 21 EX/iX equipment and Siemens CT technology
-
Utilizes ARIA for treatment planning with EPIC preferred for charting
-
40-hour contract per week
-
Active CA state license required (license required if applicable)

Current BLS certification
-
ARRT certification with ARRT (T) Radiation Therapy specialty
-
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Radiation Therapist
-
ARIA skillset required
-
EPIC charting experience preferred
-
Experience with Varian 21 EX/iX equipment required
-
Siemens CT experience required
-
Skilled in pretreatment procedures including custom molds, custom shields, and tumor localization
-
Experience with CBCT/kV/mV imaging and beam modifying/positioning
-
Knowledge of treatment planning systems including Pinnacle and Eclipse
-
Experience with External Beam Therapy and IMRT
-
Ability to calculate radiation dose and operate lift/transfer devices
-
Knowledge of isolation precautions, PPE, and radiation safety protocols
-
Age-specific competency for young, middle, and older adult populations
-
Responsibilities include pretreatment planning, custom mold and shield fabrication, tumor localization, and beam positioning
-
Perform treatment procedures including External Beam Therapy and IMRT
-
Utilize Rapid Response/Code teams as needed
-
Scrubs provided by facility
-
Parking costs covered by facility

Local candidates accepted
-
Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for standard travel rates
-
Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility

Must be willing to commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

All time off and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront prior to starting the assignment

Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years are required
