Work Schedule Policy: This position requires daily, in-person attendance at our Plano office for your initial training and onboarding period. After 3 to 6 months, employees in good standing will be eligible to transition to a partial work-from-home / hybrid schedule, depending entirely on performance and file accuracy.
Flexible Compensation Structure (Two Options Available)
We offer our full-time W-2 employees the unique flexibility to choose the pay model that best rewards their work style:
- Option 1 (Fixed Salary + Bonus): $50,000 - $65,000 annual base salary (based on experience) plus a per-file closing bonus. Ideal for those looking for steady, guaranteed bi-weekly income with extra performance upside.
- Option 2 (Pure Per-File Commission): $500.00 - $600.00 per closed loan file. Ideal for high-efficiency processors looking for maximum, uncapped earning potential (Estimated $5,000 - $9,000+ per month depending on personal volume).
Key Responsibilities
- File Management: Oversee the complete lifecycle of residential mortgage loan files from Loan Officer intake through to Final Approval.
- Systems & Technology: Run Automated Underwriting Systems (AUS) for initial determinations. Input file changes into the Encompass loan origination system and re-run for accurate AU determinations.
- Documentation & Compliance: Produce comprehensive borrower "needs lists" and diligently follow up on outstanding documentation required for file completion.
- Underwriting Submission: Submit clean, complete loan packages to underwriting and actively review and clear resulting conditions.
- Communication: Maintain clear, professional, and accurate communication logs while directly guiding borrowers through the documentation process.
- Professional Standards: Conduct all business operations in an ethical, professional manner to enhance company goodwill and customer satisfaction. [1]
Requirements & Qualifications
- Location: Ability to reliably commute to and work daily out of our Plano, TX office for the initial 3–6 month training period (Required).
- Experience: 2+ years of proven retail mortgage processing experience.
- Loan Programs: Direct hands-on experience processing FHA, VA, and Conventional loans.
- Software: Previous proficiency with Encompass LOS preferred.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent certification.
- Skills: Excellent communication skills, strong organizational habits, and the ability to operate independently.
