Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that foster literacy, numeracy, social skills, and physical development in preschool children.
- Create a warm and welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and independence.
- Manage daily classroom routines, including circle time, play activities, snack times, and rest periods to ensure smooth operations.
- Assess individual child progress through observation and standardized testing methods; tailor instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
- Incorporate special education strategies and early intervention techniques to support children with additional learning or behavioral needs.
- Engage in ongoing communication with parents and guardians to share progress updates and collaborate on child welfare strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, developmental milestones, lesson plans, and behavioral observations in compliance with childcare standards.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Experience with curriculum development focused on literacy education, math skills, physical education, and Montessori methods.
- Proven ability to work effectively with children across various age groups, including toddlers and preschoolers.
- Expertise in classroom management techniques that promote positive behavior and foster a respectful learning environment.
- Familiarity with special education needs, early intervention programs, and behavior management strategies.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with parents, colleagues, and specialists effectively.
- Classroom experience in daycare or private school settings is highly desirable; certification in early childhood education preferred.
