Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products related to lawn care, gardening, floral design, and landscape maintenance.
- Provide expert advice on horticulture practices, plant care, and seasonal gardening tips to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for cash handling, transactions, and inventory management.
- Stock shelves efficiently, organize merchandise displays, and ensure the store remains clean and inviting.
- Support merchandising efforts by arranging floral arrangements and seasonal displays to attract customer interest.
- Maintain organized inventory records, perform stock counts, and assist with inventory replenishment.
- Communicate product features clearly in multiple languages if applicable to serve a diverse customer base.
Qualifications
- Passion for gardening, horticulture, floral design, or outdoor maintenance is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in English; multilingual abilities are a plus.
- Previous experience with retail sales, cashiering, or customer service is preferred but not required.
- Basic organizational skills to manage stock levels and merchandising displays efficiently.
- Familiarity with retail math principles for handling transactions accurately.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as stocking shelves or assisting customers outdoors.
