Position Summary:
Carboline is seeking a 2nd shift Quality Control Technician I in Green Bay, WI. Hours will be 2 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. Monday - Friday as a QC Technician, you will play a critical role in the quality of our manufacturing process. We are seeking individuals with strong leadership and work ethic to ensure the quality of our products, safety of the facility and coordination of all plant operations in order to reach the best possible performance targets. This person will be responsible for production quality control and assisting manufacturing in production troubleshooting. This position may meet the requirements of a nuclear Level I Inspector.
Position Requirements:
Two years of related experience in similar inspection, examination and testing activities, a high school graduate (or equivalent) with six months related experience in similar inspection, examination and testing activities or Associate’s degree in a related discipline and three months of related experience in similar inspection, examination and testing activities.
Job Duties:
- Conducts QC tests and approves incoming raw materials for use.
- Reviews raw material Certificates of Analysis for compliance against standards.
- Provides production personnel with system weights and canning instructions for finished goods.
- Provides production personnel with adjustments needed for finished goods not in compliance with specifications.
- Assists production personnel in production methods for new products and troubleshooting for existing ones.
- Conducts Quality Control tests (i.e. grind, clarity, color, dispersion, etc) on finished goods prior to distribution to customer to ensure they are within specification parameters. Completes batch tickets and releases batches in Baan.
- Communicates with appropriate staff when a finished product is held up in Quality Control due to testing problems.
- Documents repetitive issues related to quality of finished goods to make recommendations on formulation changes or product specification improvements.
- Assists field representatives and customers and Quality Control related questions (i.e. age of batches, product availability, etc).
