American Traveler is hiring an LPN/LVN with 1+ year of LTC/skilled nursing experience for a state/government-run long-term care center, requiring an active NY State license.

Work in a state/government-run long-term care center offering rehabilitation therapies, skilled nursing, memory care, and wound care
-
LTC unit with Alzheimer's and Dementia patient population
-
300-bed facility with patient ratios of 1:18-20
-
Scheduled for 3x12-hour day shifts (0645-1915)

Shift cannot be changed once offered
-
Every other weekend coverage required upon center request
-
PCC (Point Click Care) charting system used, though experience is not required for consideration
-
Active NY State LPN/LVN license required at time of consideration; license required if applicable
-
No license hits allowed
-
Minimum 1 year of Long-Term Care (LTC) or skilled nursing experience required

Current BLS certification required
-
Must pass a medication administration (med pass) test and clinical observation
-
Strong attendance and punctuality required
-
Must provide proof of license at time of consideration

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and perform accurate, safe medication passes
-
Monitor and report changes in resident condition
-
Complete timely and accurate documentation
-
Provide nursing care in accordance with facility policies
-
Supervise CNAs on assigned units
-
Accepts first-time travelers
-
Accepts local candidates
-
RTO must be requested at time of consideration and will not be approved after offer acceptance
-
Holiday RTO will not be approved and must be arranged directly with the facility after starting

Cannot take every holiday off
-
Any call-outs must be reported with more than 24 hours notice
-
Orientation occurs every 2 weeks and cannot be missed
-
Attire consists of any solid color scrubs with closed-toe shoes

Free parking available

Compliance process takes approximately 1.5-2 weeks

Required training modules must be completed no later than 3 days prior to assignment start date
