Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Custodian to join our dynamic facilities team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of all areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Conduct routine janitorial tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and disinfecting surfaces to maintain hygiene standards.
- Operate floor care machinery including buffers and polishers to ensure floors are spotless and well-maintained.
- Assist with custodial duties related to industrial cleaning projects or specialized facility maintenance as needed.
- Support facilities maintenance activities such as minor repairs, painting, or touch-ups to keep the environment in top condition.
- Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and ensure proper storage and disposal of chemicals in compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to complete daily tasks efficiently while adhering to health and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in custodial work or janitorial services within commercial or residential settings.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care procedures, and use of cleaning equipment such as buffers and vacuums.
- Prior experience with industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and operating cleaning machinery safely.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
