We are an established commercial General Contracting and Construction Management firm serving clients throughout New England. For more than 45 years, we have specialized in ground-up construction, tenant improvements, and occupied renovations across the retail, restaurant, grocery, corporate, commercial, and industrial sectors.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead multiple commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout while delivering exceptional client service, maintaining project schedules, and achieving financial goals.
Position Summary
Reporting directly to the Project Executive, the Senior Project Manager is responsible for the successful execution of complex commercial construction projects. This role oversees all aspects of project planning, budgeting, procurement, scheduling, client communication, risk management, and project closeout while providing leadership to project teams.
Key Responsibilities
Preconstruction
- Review plans, specifications, contracts, and project documentation.
- Participate in estimating handoff and project kickoff meetings.
- Develop project schedules, logistics plans, procurement strategies, and project execution plans.
- Negotiate subcontracts and purchase orders.
- Coordinate permitting and preconstruction activities.
Construction
- Manage multiple commercial construction projects simultaneously.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and field staff.
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, billing, scheduling, and change orders.
- Ensure quality control, safety, and contract compliance.
- Lead project meetings and maintain accurate project documentation.
- Collaborate closely with field leadership to achieve project milestones and deliver exceptional results.
Project Closeout
- Manage punch list completion and project turnover.
- Coordinate warranties, closeout documentation, owner manuals, and final inspections.
- Finalize project financial reporting and job cost analysis.
- Conduct project closeout reviews to identify lessons learned and continuous improvement opportunities.
Technology
- Maintain complete project documentation within Procore.
- Manage commitments, RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, schedules, budgets, and reporting.
- Collaborate with Accounting to support billing, forecasting, and cost management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 10+ years of commercial construction project management experience.
- Proven ability to successfully manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods and project delivery.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and Procore.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and client relationship skills.
