Handyperson / Project Assistant
Overview: We are seeking a professional and easy-going team player with the ability to prioritize and move between projects quickly. Responsibilities include handyperson maintenance in occupied units, driving to multiple locations throughout the day, and meeting with external business partners for unit access.
Responsibilities (see the bottom of the listing for a more detailed account of tasks):
- Drive to managed properties to conduct maintenance, meet with vendors, post notices, etc.
- Respond to resident maintenance requests promptly and efficiently.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose maintenance problems.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, communications, and timelines.
- Track and bill time using company software/applications.
- Mandatory on-call rotation.
- Complete company training and comply with safety policies and all industry, local, state, and federal laws.
Skills:
- Knowledge of general maintenance and repair procedures.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Valid driver's license.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proficient in the use of desktop computer systems and smart phone applications.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with AppFolio is a plus.
- Experience in property management is a plus.
- Knowledge of Tenant/Landlord Law is a plus.
