Job Summary:
Southgate Ford is seeking an experienced, driven, and customer-focused Service Manager to lead our Service Department at our large, high-volume Ford dealership.
The ideal candidate is a proven automotive service leader who understands how to operate successfully in a fast-paced dealership environment and has the leadership skills to maintain and grow a high-performing team while maintaining an exceptional customer experience.
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
· MUST HAVE previous dealership experience (Ford/Lincoln experience a plus);
· MUST HAVE experience working in a dealership’s Service Department;
· Strong leadership skills;
· Ability to manage a large team;
· Automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and vehicle maintenance experience;
· An understanding of warranty processing;
· Experience writing repair orders.
Job responsibilities will include:
· Overseeing the operation, success & profitability of the Southgate Ford Service Department;
· Managing and communicating with employees and technicians;
· Maximize technician productivity, efficiency, and available shop capacity;
· Customer interaction and communication;
· A strong commitment to Customer Satisfaction Scores;
· Hiring and onboarding Service Department staff;
· Work closely with Parts and other dealership departments to ensure smooth operations;
· Effective communication with the Manufacturer;
· Maintaining compliance with Ford Motor Company programs, processes, and service standards;
· Problem solving and thinking on your feet.
