We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Part-Time Houseman to join our hospitality team. Duties
- Perform floor cleaning and floor care using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents to maintain pristine surfaces throughout the hotel.
- Conduct thorough cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces, including vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and sanitation tasks.
- Handle chemical agents safely by understanding Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and following proper chemical handling procedures to ensure a safe environment for colleagues and guests.
- Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling tasks related to moving furniture, supplies, or equipment as needed for hotel housekeeping management.
- Support hotel emergency procedures by responding swiftly to safety concerns or incidents, ensuring guest and staff safety at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness standards in compliance with sanitation regulations, hotel policies, and industry best practices.
- Operate cleaning equipment efficiently while adhering to safety guidelines to deliver exceptional custodial service in all designated areas.
Qualifications
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in a hospitality or industrial cleaning environment is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of hotel housekeeping management practices and hotel experience is advantageous.
- Familiarity with cleaning techniques including vacuuming, chemical handling, and floor care is essential.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks with physical endurance.
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude towards guests and team members.
- Understanding of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols is desirable.
- Experience with sanitation standards, safety data sheets (SDS), and industrial cleaning equipment will set you apart.
