Optometric Associates of Southern Maine is a full spectrum group optometry practice located in Biddeford, ME. We are currently 3 full-time doctors working in the office. We currently have 13 employees, 9 of which are support staff. We operate out of a 4,200 square foot building that is within a medical office park close to I-95.
We are open from 8A-5P M, T, Th, 8A-630P W, and 8A-3P F, closed on all weekends. We also observe most major holidays, which equates to an additional 10 PTO days throughout the calendar year.
Position for Full-time Optometric technician. Job description includes hands on interaction with patients, medical record PHI entry, entrance testing (computerized technology for auto-refraction, retinal imaging, IOP, visual field, Optical Coherence Tomography), and corresponding with patients on the phone as needed.
The ideal candidate would display outstanding teamwork and communication skills. Prior experience in either an optometric or ophthalmologic setting preferred, but not required for hire. Background in healthcare is always a plus. We believe in working as a team, and we work hard to create an environment where we are all happy to come to work every day. Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
