Position Summary:
· Assist in the layout of material for various job.
· Assist in setting up equipment.
· Cleaning of work area and shop.
· Basic mathematical skills. Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure including whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
· Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out written and oral instructions.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Will be required to cross-train as back-up in other areas of the manufacturing plant.
· Required to have proper and accurate entry into the time and attendance system.
- Other job-related duties as may be necessary to carry out the responsibilities of this position.
Work Relationships and Scope:
Reports directly to the shift supervisor; Daily interaction with operations/operators and Set-Up employees.
Performance Expectations:
Safety, Quality, Accuracy, Timeliness, Reliability and Thoroughness of work performed; gains the trust and respect of the shift supervisor, co-workers and other employees; develops good working relationships with the shift supervisor, co-workers and other employees. Develops working knowledge of the production environment and has ability to respond to change. Work to Continuously Improve the operations of the Department through Lean activities and Improvement suggestions.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Prefer at least 0-2 years of experience working. Position requires good mathematical ability. Position requires the ability to operate measuring devices such as tape measures.
Working Conditions:
This position works in a production. Some safety equipment must be worn when working with equipment in the shop. Bending, lifting and pushing up to 70 pounds are required.
