Responsibilities
- Perform thorough patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed health histories to inform care plans.
- Administer medications and injections accurately, including IV infusions and medication reconciliation, adhering to aseptic techniques and safety protocols.
- Monitor patients’ conditions continuously, utilizing advanced EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems such as Epic or Cerner for documentation and communication.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans aligned with best practices in acute care and hospital medicine.
- Assist with procedures such as suturing, catheterization, tube feeding, and ventilator management while maintaining sterile processing standards.
- Provide patient education on health management, discharge instructions, and post-operative care to promote recovery at home or in assisted living settings.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control policies while maintaining accurate medical records and documentation.
Requirements
- Valid RN license with current registration in the state of practice.
- Proven experience in medical-surgical units within hospital settings, including ICU or Level I Trauma Center experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
- Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for patient documentation.
- Competency in critical care procedures including airway management, ventilator support, and acute pain management.
- Ability to perform complex patient assessments and respond effectively to urgent situations like triage or emergency room scenarios.
- Familiarity with diverse clinical areas such as geriatrics, behavioral health, infectious disease care, hospice & palliative medicine, and long-term care environments including nursing homes or memory care facilities.
- Excellent communication skills for working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays across various settings like home care or outpatient clinics.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications such as ACLS or PALS are advantageous.

Pay: $2,600.00 - $2,800.00 per week
