Registered Nurse (RN) – Eating Disorder Treatment Center
Pay: $35.00 per hour in person/$15 per hour on call

Schedule
- Thursday: On-call, 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Friday: In-office, 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Saturday: On-call, 8:30 AM – 1:30 PM
- Additional coverage hours available as needed

We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Registered Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team of physicians, therapists, dietitians, and support staff.
Position Summary
The Registered Nurse works alongside our Lead Nurse and Medical Director to provide exceptional medical care for patients receiving treatment for eating disorders. This role combines direct patient care, medical case management, care coordination, and insurance utilization review.
The ideal candidate is organized, collaborative, compassionate, and comfortable working with patients experiencing complex mental health and medical needs.
Responsibilities
- Obtain and document daily vital signs, including blind weights, orthostatic blood pressures, temperature, and assessment of positional changes.
- Perform intake nursing assessments, including review of systems (ROS).
- Coordinate physician-ordered laboratory work, EKGs, and drug screenings.
- Monitor medication compliance and medical stability.
- Complete ongoing nursing assessments based on medical necessity and insurance requirements.
- Assess and document eating disorder behaviors, self-harm concerns, and overall patient safety.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, dietitians, and primary care providers to coordinate patient care.
- Participate in treatment planning and interdisciplinary treatment team meetings.
- Prepare clinical documentation to support insurance utilization reviews.
- Conduct live utilization reviews, peer-to-peer reviews, and appeals with insurance companies when needed.
- Track authorizations, attendance, and patient service utilization.
- Coordinate continuity of care with our Medical Director and outside medical providers.
- Complete accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR).
Qualifications
Required
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Montana (or ability to obtain)
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong computer skills and comfort with electronic medical records
Preferred
- Experience in behavioral health, psychiatry, eating disorders, or outpatient medical settings
- Experience with insurance utilization review or case management
- Familiarity with Google Workspace and EMR documentation
