Turner Counseling — Fayetteville, AR
Full-time | W-2 | Hybrid
$70,000/year + $200/month health stipend
Turner Counseling is a small outpatient private practice seeking a fully licensed LPC or LCSW for a full-time W-2 position in Fayetteville.
This role is designed for a clinician who wants to do good clinical work without having every available hour consumed by sessions. The position is built around an average of approximately 25 client sessions per week, leaving working time for documentation, care coordination, consultation, and the other responsibilities that are part of providing thoughtful outpatient care.
Weekly session volume will naturally fluctuate due to cancellations, client needs, scheduling, and caseload development. The expectation is not that every week looks identical, but that clinicians maintain an average caseload appropriate to the role over time.
We are looking for someone who values autonomy, ethical practice, professional reliability, and the opportunity to become a trusted part of a smaller practice.
What the Role Looks Like
- Full-time, salaried W-2 employment
- Approximately 25 client sessions per week on average
- 40-hour workweek inclusive of clinical and administrative responsibilities
- 90-day caseload ramp-up period
- Hybrid schedule with an emphasis on in-person sessions in Fayetteville
- Individual outpatient psychotherapy
- Time within the workweek for documentation, care coordination, consultation, and administrative responsibilities
- Furnished private office
- EHR and administrative support
The goal is to provide clear expectations without micromanagement. Clinicians are expected to manage their responsibilities independently, maintain timely documentation, communicate when problems arise, and seek consultation when a case falls outside their competence or when another perspective would be helpful.
Once trust and reliability are established, we want clinicians to have room to practice.
Compensation
- $70,000 annual salary
- Paid twice monthly through direct deposit
- $200/month health benefit stipend
- CEU and professional development reimbursement
- Furnished office space and practice resources provided
Paid Time Away
The practice is structured to provide meaningful time away from clinical work.
- Two paid practice closure weeks each year — one in November and one in December
- One additional flexible paid week after completion of the initial ramp-up period
- Separate accrued sick leave
Our goal is for clinicians to be able to take time away without needing to make up an unrealistic number of sessions before or afterward.
About the Practice
Turner Counseling is intentionally growing as a small practice rather than trying to become a high-volume clinic.
We value clinicians who can work independently while remaining connected to the people around them. Consultation is encouraged when it is useful. Asking for help is not treated as a failure of competence, and autonomy does not mean being left without support.
We care about good clinical judgment, ethical practice, reliable follow-through, and honest communication more than unnecessary bureaucracy.
For the right clinician, we hope this can be a place to build a long-term professional home rather than simply carry a caseload.
Required Qualifications
- Active Arkansas license permitting independent outpatient psychotherapy as an LPC or LCSW
- Ability to provide in-person services in Fayetteville as a regular part of the workweek
- Strong ethical judgment
- Professional reliability and communication
- Ability to maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
- Ability to work independently
- Willingness to seek consultation when clinically appropriate
Who May Be a Good Fit
This role may fit you well if you:
- Want the stability of salaried W-2 employment
- Prefer a manageable clinical workload over maximizing session volume
- Like having autonomy without working completely alone
- Value direct communication and clear expectations
- Take clinical documentation and professional responsibilities seriously
- Appreciate working within a smaller practice where your work and perspective matter
- Are interested in remaining with a practice and growing professionally over time
