Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages including cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic options with precision and flair.
- Engage with guests to understand their preferences and recommend beverages that enhance their experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in accordance with food safety standards and health regulations.
- Manage POS (Point of Sale) system accurately process orders, payments, and cash handling transactions.
- Develop new beverage recipes and suggest innovative drink ideas to keep the menu exciting.
- Monitor inventory levels of alcohol, mixers, garnishes, and supplies; restock as needed to ensure smooth service.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient bar management during busy hours.
- Uphold excellent customer service standards by serving guests promptly, courteously, and professionally at all times.
- Handle cash register operations with accuracy using retail math skills; perform basic math calculations for transactions.
- Ensure compliance with food safety protocols including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
Experience
- Proven experience as a bartender in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality setting is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of beverage recipes, cocktail mixing techniques, wine varieties, craft beer styles.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders seamlessly during peak hours.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while maintaining professionalism.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate billing.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures within the food industry.
